The GYS Startium 980E shares the professional charging and starting capability of the 480E model - covering Liquid, Gel, and AGM (Stop/Start) batteries across four selectable output levels and safely starting modern vehicles without battery removal. A Universal Mode ensures correct handling when the battery type is not known. The 980E is the higher-specification model in the Startium range, suited to workshops with greater throughput or more demanding vehicle platforms.

Battery health is monitored permanently throughout the charge cycle, with voltage and charge percentage displayed in real time on the digital screen. The unit charges to 100% and enters float mode automatically at completion. Auto-Start Sense removes the need to activate the start function manually, fault codes are displayed directly on screen for fast diagnosis, and an alternator test function identifies charging system faults during the same service visit.
