The THINKTOOL X5 combines everyday vehicle diagnostics with access to THINKCAR UK’s specialist remote support network. Compact and easy to handle, this 5-inch tool helps workshops investigate faults, check repairs, and arrange expert assistance for more complex jobs.
Designed for multi-brand passenger vehicle diagnostics, the X5 also supports bodyshop pre- and post-repair scans, including on compatible DoIP vehicles. Built-in video, voice, and text communication lets technicians discuss jobs directly with remote specialists.

Remote Diagnostics and Programming Support
The X5 provides access to remote specialist services, although it does not include the X10S’s built-in online functionality.
To arrange a remote session, select a technician through the on-screen remote icon and provide the job details. Once a service fee is agreed, the specialist can carry out supported diagnostic or programming work remotely.
A wired internet connection and suitable vehicle battery support unit are required throughout remote programming. The technician provides a completion notification and repair report once the work is finished.
